Choosing Colors

When it comes to choosing what colors to wear, I ask that you avoid extra bright or neon colors, as they not only tend to be distracting, but actually cast color back up onto your neck and face. This is very tough to edit out.

Luckily, you don’t have to avoid making a striking and colorful statement if that’s your style! Bold colors that exist in nature, like the ones listed below, are timeless and add excitement to your shoot without causing a distraction.

Neutrals are always a safe and attractive choice, too! Below are some of my favorites.

Neutral Recommendations
muted blues, chambray, blush pink, sage, heather gray, leather brown, cream, white

Bold Recommendations
mustard, turmeric, navy, coral, emerald green, eggplant, evergreen, paprika, poppy

Fail-Proof Combos (if pairing from the bold list, go for complementary colors)

evergreen / coral

chambray / paprika
